Hot tub controls: spa packs, circuit boards, and topside panels

A control system has three parts: the spa pack (the control box with heater), the circuit board inside it, and the topside panel you press. Identify yours from the label on the control box and the part number on the back of the panel or board. Boards and panels must be compatible with each other, so match numbers exactly or replace the pack and panel as a set.

We're still adding these to the store. Ask AskTub which part you need and we'll point you to it.

Questions

What is a spa pack?

The spa pack is the control box in the equipment bay, usually with the heater attached. It holds the circuit board that runs the pumps, heater, lights, and safety sensors.

Can I replace just the topside panel?

Yes, if the new panel is compatible with your circuit board. Match the panel's part number, or check the board's compatibility list, since similar-looking panels are not always interchangeable.

Should I replace the circuit board or the whole pack?

A board alone is cheaper. A complete pack with a matching panel gives you a new board, heater, and sensors together, which often makes sense on a tub more than 10 years old.
